What is the bug etiquette here?

I am fairly new to BGA and wanted to know what the etiquette was here?

I am currently in a game of turn based Race For The Galaxy and have encountered a bug that hinders my game. I have reported this bug but what is the etiquette regarding the game now? Do I wait for the bug to be fixed, or do I try and carry on with the game, even though the bug would now put me at a disadvantage? Will an admin look at the game and attempt to fix the bug that happened or is this not possible?

As with any software, bugs get fixed slowly on this site.

Best steps:

1 -- Make very sure that it is a bug. If a rule isn't being respected, make sure that the rule is clear and not open to interpretation, and that it is an actual written rule and not "well, that's the way we've always played it." Also, make sure the game is not being played under a variant rule (which should be noted near the bottom of the table, as well as it should have been noted in the game lobby).
With several of these games, there is a chance of rules not being translated into their various languages completely accurately: a rule in one language may conflict with a rule in another language.
2 -- Get as many other people as you can to vote for the bug. Bugs are investigated in order of the community's priority, as determined by how many votes there are for the bug.
3 -- If ELO/win:loss ratio are vitally important to you, propose to abandon the game collectively from the disconnect menu, after discussing it with your opponent(s). Most people I've run across here play to have fun, not exploit bugs.
4 -- Say "Meh, it's just a game," and move on. Tough to do sometimes, I know, but chances of a bug being fixed before you run out of time in one game are slim.



[[-- Edit. There are several recent bug reports for RFTG where a card that should have been played is returned to the hand. If yours is one of them, chances are that a change was made recently that broke something. The good news of that scenario is that the game is under active development, and someone is familiar with the code and can undo the change. RFTG is one of the more popular games on this site, and it should be addressed sooner rather than later. ]]
