To makes things clear:

1. NightStorn clearly deserves its penalty. I just review the chat log and it's full of insults (and not just "idiots", which is an insult anyway).
2. He should even have been received a stronger penalty because this is the 5th time he was moderated by BGA moderators. We've been more than tolerant here, and the next time his account will be closed for sure.
3. The moderation policy is for moderator usage, but it's public and there is a link to it in every moderation email to explain the decisions.
4. The moderation is done by the community, not the admin. Sometimes it goes fast, sometimes it goes slow. Usually it goes fast and for the insults it goes very fast.
5. If you don't complain, we can't punish (read moderation policy). So if there is a complain about cheating (kingmaking) or provoker, there should be a report. If there is no report, there is no reason for us to punish anyone.

Thanks
Point 5 mister! I made a report, he was found CLEAR of charges, even though he wrote I HAD THE QUEEN
I checked his profile, it says: not guilty, regarding this matter

So I don't know what you guys are trying to pull here, but it's obviously a waste of time from my part to even get involved in helping. I don't care anymore: no more translations, no more reports of cheating, no more nothing. Have a nice day!

This site is completely biased to it's paying players. If you don't pay you not only get found guilty for other's actions but you also get screwed by the system in all games because they are programmed to give the paying players an advantage. You want to get special treatment, pay for the site that is all it takes.

I have not found this to be the case. Please provide verifiable examples.

Provide verifiable examples otherwise. As a paying player you get a lot more options including the cheat mode, it's pretty obvious.

I completely agree. I also found that when I play with people from BGA club I tend to lose a lot. For some reason, most of the non-members I play with have the access to cheat mode as well, and I lose with them as well. There is literally *no* other possible explanation as to why would I lose, L I T E R A L L Y.

What is this?! I've bought the club membership and I have no cheats panel! (except the Backgammon one) Does it have to be certain amount of $$$? Please, SadSacajawea share these secrets with us :ugeek:

And just what is a cheat mode? I think the first step in verifying that paid members have access to it, would be to verify that it exists, explaining what it is and how it can be gotten into. (I don't mean letting everyone know literally how to get into it, but there would either have to be some link or some code or some something in order to get into such a thing.)

I don't play many games, but I went back through 2 months of games... only ONE person who came in ahead of me was a paid member. 5 player game and he was 3rd and I was 4th, so that almost doesn't even count.

Except that one game, everyone else who has beaten me has a standard membership. I ran across 5 members with paid memberships, and only the one came in ahead of me. I beat the other 4. In fact, one of them I have played 3 times and beat him all 3 times.

Perhaps a small sampling, but I certainly don't see this. Perhaps they are just not taking advantage of it, but someone who has the ability to cheat and doesn't do it, who is honest enough to play honestly, I think would have a hard time putting up with a site which they know allows that type of cheating out of the paid members and would not want to support it. Just doesn't seem plausible. I might believe a lot of other things, but a cheat mode?

Hi,

Okay, okay, I admit, there is a cheat mode for paying players. As soon as you are member of the club, you suddenly become brilliant at all games and suddenly win all of your games!

Are you serious when writing things like this?!? Such thing would kill this website.

Guys, you are smart enough to play intelligent board games, so please stop saying stupid things and go back playing !

I would add that this is a very easy thing to check, since a two month club membership is very cheap! *wink* *wink*
( and support is very much appreciated :) )

Cheers,

Pay for a site with constant issues and errors? No way. Samplings of a few games are not verifiable proof. If the owners of the site cannot provide complete details of every code of the site and statistics for every player, paying or not then you can't prove that this site isn't fixed. Simple as that.
