Shield of Zira against Igramul the Banisher #Seasons

As described, you may sacrificed Shield of Zira instead of sacrificing or discarding another card, and the Banisher forces opponents to discard cards.
So, why didn't Shield of Zira work when somebody summon the Banisher, on table=10313685?

That is interesting! I have not thought about that... I felt that a lot of the new cards from Path of Destiny contradicts with the existing cards...

I just had the exact same thing happening to me. My opponent played Igramul and I can't even discard my shield.
