We need perlude

Post by Daniel222222 »

I know bga does not normally adds expensions, but prelude is essential for this game. Making it both faster and have more intresting in the begining.

Prelude is cool, but the longer the game stay base the longer you get to enjoy it this way competitively speaking on this platform. Which is priceless, the elo system is the most valuable thing for BGA, not the content.

I agree in general about TFM expansions diluting the core experience, but Prelude is included in most (all?) competitive tournaments on the steam app. It'd be nice to have it here for sure.

The league is great, but how many people on there really learned the game? Maybe a handful really learned the game before getting slaughtered by point luna and vitor, because they never even understand how to counter credicor or engine in general(now the silver league players, the gold are all fantastic). So I am in the camp of forcing people to learn and catch up for a while. But hey up to me, everyone play base non corp era for 2 more seasons for arena. We get a full season for 3p non corp era for the coming season, then 2p non corp the following, finally 3p corp era, then 2p corp era. The game is so deep, let it ride, people here doesn't understand half of the bug the steam community had to endure, and the reputation system is way better than the karma system on steam. The only problem we are facing here is the timer, which requires a global timer instead, but I digress.

Finally, let me be honest, you don't want to have prelude any time soon, you want to wait and get better before seeing that level, I am just like so happy about the non corp era decision on arena. I never thought it could be so perfect as the initial arena setting, I thought that was the wrong decision, I thought we should have corp era from the start.

According to wikipedia, a host of (physical) expansions will be released in july 2024.
Including Prelude 2 — 5 new corporation cards, 25 prelude cards, and 24 project cards.

So while I'd like Prelude, maybe wait until autumn and also add Prelude 2?

No, just no. Non corp era is so boring, all games looks exactly the same. So I'm hoping it is just for this season which ends tomorrow.
Also, why would you be against Prelude expansion? It wouldn't be mandatory, just part of the game setup, so what is the issue with that?

Prelude 2, to implement fully, needs all other expansions, as there are cross-expansion cards in that set.

I am not premium so I cannot host; I have enjoyed joining games with prelude. Bugs have been reported accordingly (lava settlement?). Thanks to everyone involved in offering this game to us. Best wishes.
