I am thrilled with the new features. Thank you! Finally, we can play "real" backgammon, with matches and a doubling cube, and even an undo feature. Also, for those who haven't discovered it yet, there is a Dice Statistics viewer hidden under the setup icon. Hopefully, this will help people gain better perspective on the die rolls.

Suggestions for the U.I.:
1. Add buttons to Confirm or Undo in the middle of the playfield, not just at the top of the screen.
2. Don't make people roll the dice when there are no valid moves for them.
3. Consider temporarily increasing the default time allocated to turn length to compensate for the slower turn velocity/unfamiliarity with the new interface.

There’s so much lag I tried to play one real time game and my opponent mercilessly expelled me first thing.

It’s really, really bad. I also realize there is more to the game than I knew, which is fine. A game option for “simple” or something like that to make the game playable as it was before it was “fixed” with this update would be great.

It's really bad. Animation and confirm/undo makes everything slower. I was really enjoying learning how to play. But can't deal with this new interface

There seems to be a bug in conceding games. I was not allowed to concede a game because it was not 50% into the game, but the game was well over. My opponent was one move away from winning, and it still did not allow me to concede.

To concede, click on the white flag off the bottom right side of the board, that will pull up a window allowing you to concede. It is different, which confuses people new to the version, but the functionality is there. I'm not sure why the 'normal' method of conceding doesn't work.

Some tips to getting used to the new interface:

*) Click on "Help" in the menu (where your player name is). This explains some features of the new implementation.

*) Click on "Setup" in the menu (where your player name is). You can customize many features. I especially recommend "One click move ON" - you will not play any other way after you have gotten used to it.

*) After you have moved your checkers the dice are greyed out. You can then confirm your move by clicking on the dice. You do *not* have to go to the top of the menu to click "Confirm". Clicking in the middle of the playing area to confirm is much faster than going on the top of the menu!

*) Use the + - Buttons on top left to zoom in/out. This is especially important on mobile devices.

Please get rid of the Confirm / Undo function! It slows the game down terribly. Most people on BGA, play enough backgammon to be able to play at a reasonably fast pace.......until now.

Re using ‘setup’ I simply didn’t have the time with the game clock already running down to fiddle around with screen size, and the other options. I nearly ran out of time as it was having to scroll back up the screen each turn to find and click the ‘confirm’ button. As someone else suggested, having the ‘confirm’ button appear on the board might be better. Can we make the undo optional and thus have an auto-confirm? If I make an error in this game I can always fix it in the next!
