Question about Optimal Aerobraking

I'm a noob, so please forgive me if I'm misunderstanding something. I played Optimal Aerobraking one turn, and then I played Lagrange Observatory (Space + Science tags) on another turn. Optimal Aerobraking's card text says "When you play a space event, you gain 3 MC and 3 heat," but I gained neither when I played Lagrange Observatory. Does this card not count as a "space event" despite having the Space tag? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Events are only the cards that also have a downward arrow as a tag. Everything else is a project. So it only applies to cards with space tag + arrow.
