Statistics : Winning Quote

Post by HawkBln »

Don't understand the winning quote.
So, for example there is one player who played 1 game of Tichu, won and had 150% winning quote.
That is no statistics, that is *.
Or am i wrong?
Please help me to understand.
Hawk

Indeed, they should remove the "%" because it means something different.

The way it's computed, I believe, is that each victory counts as 0.5 multiplied by the number of players at the table. So a victory in 2-player game counts as one, in a 3-player game as 1.5, and in a 6-player games as three full victories. The reasoning is that if you always win the "average" rate for every player count your win rate will be "50%".

But how does it work with friendly games? I've played 4 games of TM, winning all of them. But i have 75% winrate. It should be 100% (all of the games were 2 player games), but since 2 of them were friendly games i guess that's the reason... But still - why 75%? If number of games are counted but victories in friendly games doesn't count, shouldn't it be 50%? Not important, but curious to know how this works, if anyone know.

The feature is very buggy and strange. See https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=15679, search for the comments by Purple Pawn and LordGrok there for a summary of what's wrong.

Thanks! That thread offered some insight. I gave it a thumb as well.
