Nice Simultaneous and semi-simultaneous games to play at many

Post by Phoxtrot »

When playing turn-based with a big group a friends, it really helps if everyone can make their turn at the same time or, barring that, have at least some significant part of the game that does that. This allows games to conclude in a relatively decent amount of time.

Here are some of the game we play or have played with those characteristics:
- Race for the galaxy (up to 6 players with the right options)
- Roll for the Galaxy (up to 5)
- 7 Wonders (up to 7)
- 6 Nimmt (up to 10)
- Challengers (up to 8)
- Railroad Ink (up to 12)
- Planet Unknown (up to 6)
- Number drop (up to 6)
- Troyes Dice (up to 10)
- 61 Feuilles d'automne / 61 Autumn leaves (up to 10)
- Welcome (up to 12)
- Trek 12 (up to 8)
- Draftosaurus (up to 5)
- Roll to the top voyages (up to 6)
- Roll into town (up to 8)
- Dice Hospital ER (up to 6)
- Welcome to new las-vegas (up to 12)

Without surprise, lots of them are roll and writes.

Other games have some part of it that is simultaneous but not really enough to qualify:
- Heat (up to 7)
- Vaalbara (up to 5)
- Stella Dixit (up to 6)
- Space Base (up to 5) (Well, not simultaneous at all but it has a nice amount of automation so I thought it warranted a mention)

And then there are plenty of games that are so short that it doesn't really matter.
