Usually I just play terraforming turn-based because it is so long, and there the timer seems to work normally, as it is supposed to, gives you a certain amount of new time at the beginning of the game. But in this live game I played my opponent was over time and then in the middle of his moves started getting new time so that he ended with nearly +1 min at the end of his turn despite playing super slow and going into over time. How the heck is that possible? Why aren't the developers fixing this?
As with any game on BGA, any time you make a move, you earn time back.

This means if your baby cries for a minute, you can tend to them, and then make faster moves for a few turns to earn the time back.

What if your baby cries for 3 minutes? Wouldn't a global timer works better? That way you don't "lose" a game from longer bio break or emergencies. AND you actually spent less time for a game session since slow players wouldn't able to abuse the clock and actually playing with a sense of urgency. No game on the steam app is able to go over set times because it uses a global timer, and since it pushes the players to conserve their clock, every game finishes faster.

Actually that is not how the timer works for most games. Literally in other game I have played here had a working timer, ie. you get new time at the start of your move and then it doesn't matter how many actions you make in your move in that is time
