The Kremlin - Card PREN074 and Bishops

Post by drmabuse00 »

Hi all, in the BGA version you cannot move a bishop onto ANY card in that player's tableau, the system doesn't allow it. In real life, does it work the same way? I understand you cannot silence cards in that person's tableau, but that shouldn't prevent placement of a bishop, should it?. I'm just wondering if it's an oversight in the module or is this correct?

I'm in a game where I've placed a Bishop is on an Empire card. If the player with The Kremlin buys the card, what would become of the Bishop? I'm holding off before committing to my turn (time allowing, of course).
Cheers!

When Bishops are initially placed as an agent, they must be placed either on the card it came from, or on any tableau card or any Empire card in any player's tableu or on the throne that matches the location of the card that the Bishop came from. Same rules apply for the inquisitor Op to move Bishops that match the religon depicted on the op, in addtion to being able to move them to cards adjacent to them within the tableau they are currently in.

If your opponents aquires an Empire with a Bishop on it while having The Kremilin in their tableau, they'll simply be immune to silencing, and their Empire card will function normally.

Theres a chance that none of the cards in your opponents tableau matched the location on the card your bishop came from. If that's not the case, post a link to the game replay after the game is finished so others can see what exactly is going on in the game to prevent you from placing Bishops as it might be a bug.

Yep, all the criteria matches, the game just won't allow bishops to move to their tableau. I'll go ahead and see what happens. I'll report back if things go sideways. :D Thanks for your reply!

I just checked your current game. So you tried moving the bishop from Grand Multi or Lizard Union, and the game wouldn't let you move to the opponent's tableau that currently has Kremlin in play?

Without a link (or picture) and a description of what you tried to do it's hard to tell for sure. Note that the Kremlin is a bit of a special case, because it's a Holy Roman Empire card which is a West empire, but the card is in your East tableau.
