What specifically caught my attention is that such regime is applied to games that are generally played fast: Ticket to train, Carcassonne, Bang!, etc.
Is this some way of farming something? What do they gain? Is it ok on bga, and can I do that?
What do they gain? The fun of playing games, in a way that fits their life & schedule.

When they encounter a behaviour they don't engage in themselves they assume some nefarious purpose must be at work and they race here to get confirmation for their narrow view of the world. The internet just makes that much more obvious that real life.
Well, you don't seem as an empathetic person yourself. Farming is very common in pc and console gaming, and it can be done either in a particular game or on some gaming platform. And, depending on game or platform rules, some sorts of farming can be disallowed or perfectly normal. You can farm points, achievements, items, anything really. So, for someone with general online gaming experience but little BGA experience these questions are completely ok. Also, I would say that these questions are completely ok even without this context. They don't contain any judgement and don't ask for any personal opinion. These are simple questions about rules and workings of BGA.

So, unless OP returns here and buries themselves with some accusations, maybe we shouldn't rush to quick judgement and should just answer the questions (which was already done in the second post). Or maybe you didn't write this about OP, but merely pointed at a general unfairness of our life. In which case I'm sorry for not being empathetic enough.

Thank you all for the fruitful discussion and answering my questions.
I am still troubled by how people can play fast-paced games so slowly, but I see the point many of you make
