Is there a way to keep friends chat window open when entering a game?

Currently whenever you enter a game - either player or spectator, the friends chat window disappears, and it's very tedious to get it back - you got to open a separate tab and write something to that person, or they'd have to write you back.

Is there an option that you can toggle so the friend chat stays open?

I also wonder the same question. I really want to chat with friends while playing the game.

Not as far as I know. My friends and I usually keep a Discord chat going when we want to play multiple games on BGA.

I find it strange to chat with someone while playing with someone else (in real time). If I'd play someone IRL that was consistently on the phone, I'd stop the game right away. I'm not competitive for a penny but I find it somehow discourteous not to have the maximum attention of the player (note I didn't say whole attention, life is life).

You can open another browser tab with bga to keep the friend chat open. When something is written there, it will open on your game tab as well. So after one message, you can use it like you wanted. But idk if it's browser dependent. I'm using chrome.

However having more than 1 tab with bga also produces some annoying bugs around closing game chats after finishing the game.
