Lords of Waterdeep

Post by mac32 »

Hi, has anyone ever tried to make Lords of Waterdeep on BGA? Can't find any evidence. Would be interested in making it unless there's a reason not to i.e the publisher refuses to license it. Thanks.

Available licences does not show Lords of Waterdeep as being refused a licence. If you create a studio account, there is a template email that BGA will provide for a game to send to the publisher. It's worth trying.

Lords of Waterdeep already has an app for iOS, Android and Windows (Steam), which may mean the publisher doesn't want a competing digital adaptation or there was an exclusive licence.

The use of Dungeons and Dragons IP may make putting the game on BGA too complicated or expensive. Though Lords of Waterdeep is published by Wizards of the Coast who own the Dungeons and Dragons IP so this may not be an issue.

I reported some rejected licenses months ago, but they haven't been updated yet.
Imo fat chance: some publishers absolutely don't want to put their popular games on BGA.
