And I warn right away that this would be a colossal job because the basic code was never designed with expansions in mind.
Starting from scratch might be a good idea.
But I doubt anyone will do it for free.

The Advanced game is already very good and you should be proud of your implementation, it is really great and you are appreciated!

However I do wonder if there are SOME elements that could be included such as:
  • More ways to win via points such destroying enemy colonies and building colonies in deep space??
"The Close Encounters expansion gives you many new things on which to spend your Construction Points. Therefore, each Homeworld now produces 30 CP instead of 20 CP. If a Homeworld takes damage, it now reduces 30-20-10-5-Eliminated.
Option to start with a higher CP amount (quick start?)
If anyone has any example of other implementable optional rules that don't need things to be re-written that would be great. :)

I've played the table game and played this version and I like this version so much better for all the things it brings to the 'table', especially turn based playing over a longer timeframe. I do wish we could get GMT to do/authorize an expansion of the digital game that would bring a few elements in to really get the most out of this existing version. Things like adding a few more player seats, adding in different maps with interesting features i.e. smaller home sectors with larger deep space areas, different home planet layouts that aren't random, layouts with impassable areas etc. There is enough meat on this bone to support a lot more play even without digging into the actual game mechanics as implemented.

Publisher permission is not the issue, who will fund the extension?
Currently, I no longer volunteer on BGA, I'm working on paid projects.
