Am I missing something with moving air units on convoys and supply of carriers

I have an RAF Fighter token stacked with a Convoy in Plymouth. I want to transport the fighter by sea to North Africa, but no option to do this appears. Have I missed something in either the rules or interface, or should I report this as a bug?

I also had a situation with Force H being at Malta. I understand that ships can self-supply, but Force H nonetheless had to trace a supply line and was interdicted by the Italians, and ended up with Low and then No supply and being eliminated. Again, have I missed something I should be doing?

Activate the air unit and then click on Naval Transport.

Yes, fleets can self-supply, but that simply means they can trace the route themselves instead of needing to use a convoy sortie.
