BGA League Season 12

Hey all,

Just thought I'd come over and promote the Board Game Arena League entering into Season 12. The 20 games chosen are shown below and over the next 6 months each player via the tournament structure will play 8 matches turn based on each for a total of 160 matches. You explained some things but i still don't know what "BGA League" is. The title suggests it's an official thing from BGA but given you give a facebook link leaves me even more puzzled.

Are you talking about Arena (what I thought was "the BGA league"). Or is it something else and is just lacking an appropriate title?

It sounds interesting, but no, 20 games aren't "shown below". Not shown to me, anyway. All that is shown is a link to a page on facebook, which again doesn't show the 20 games, it just shows part of something called "Group rules from the admins". There's some suggestion that more information might be available if one has a facebook login, which I don't, but facebook also says that it's a "private" group and "Only members can see who's in the group and what they post". So I guess the only people who can see what the games are, or enter them, must be members of this private group, which I suppose requires an invitation. So it seems very odd that you're "promoting" it here where it will be no use to most people who read it.

Or have I missed something?

You can normally request to join private groups, but as you say, it requires a Facebook account. I'm assuming that the group admits most people who ask to join (usually this is done to keep spam bots out).

Yeah it auto admits you into the group when you request. Keeps the spam bots out indeed. You do need facebook to enter as its run through that facebook group. 20 games are as follows. Starts 1st July
