...yes I have seen it often at home with expansion... But usually thoses players didn't won the game. And I think you could reach more ponits with playing less birds...
The woodduck is strong, but if you have bad luck with the cards it has no big effect.
At home in real live we don't bann anything. I have seen games with killdeer and Raven without a win.
May we should also bann all birds with quallities like laying eggs anywhere, or tucking cards...
If you want to play a game with pure equity - play chess!

I've just noticed that Wood Duck is banned from arena games, that's nice. I now propose that we ban the Spotted Towee who's next best bird in line. Then we will kick American Sparrow, the crows, the swallows, and every best birds in line until we only have Horned Lark vs Belted Kingfisher and start playing REAL wingspan.

XD Bro the current top 1 wingspan said it himself. It was a broken bird. Looks like you haven't played with wood duck that much

Ah yes, the slippery slope argument. The favorite of those who don't actually have a point.

Uhu, ok, saying "u dont av a point lul" is an argument now. Well, Wood Duck is usefull as for balancing a terrible game when your opponent started with three sparows and a swallow, but i don't think it is worth making point against you.

Also "the top 1 said it himself" is not a valid point. I played against and with Wood Duck a lot, it's a nice challenge.

But i understand it's easier removing cards that makes kid cry instead of trying to add a way to reduce bad starts, such as mulligans, draft or giving a 6th card to the second player.

There's no real "challenge" to facing an opened Wood Duck. It doesn't offer any real interactive chances to play against it. They just get to draw more (so usually better) cards and typically have access to more food from sheer usage with no need to burn turns on the wetlands. You don't really get to "beat" Wood Duck, it's more about what's happening on their end than anything you're doing.

I get it. You've found yourself on the losing side of this argument, so you're resorting to hyperbole and framing everyone else as cry babies. It's not uncommon if a bit unfortunate.

That idea looks like a home rule - so it is not OK for BGA.
And honestly it is stupid - the Wood Duck is much stronger - you won't accept my offer to give me a raven when you play a Wood Duck....
If you wanna play with the Wood Duck, set up a tournament without the big four but with the Wood Duck - I thing you'll find enough people to play such a tournament.
