Hi,

There was some trouble with the database server today. Not the first time, but not in BGA code, so not easy to fix...
Reboot got back things to running as usual. Penalties on affected games have been removed.

Yes, the reboot wasn't a definitive fix. Seems like we hit some sort of limit (more and more players, good news! )
sourisdudesert took some extra measures to handle the load, now we hope that this trouble won't be recurring... for some time at least

Bug just happened again at Captain phase. I was unable to store goods.

UPDATE

We are setting up a new game server, with a new hosting provider, in order to fix these issues. This is not an easy fix and there may be other consequences, but we definitely need to upgrade BGA infrastructure which is more or less the same than 12 months ago.

I have huge problems to launch games for 2 days, i need to press F5 many times in a row, and most of the time it does not even work after this stakhanovist process (getting red banners : hidden for security reasons, or banners like : disconnected from servor).
Asked on general chat if other players were experiencing same trouble, and got around 15 confirmation messages in less than one minute.
