You dont gain shields vs much lower leagues. Restricting to platin and diamond should do.
In either case, you gain „Arena-Elo“, it only just gets visible once you make it to Elite.

It should only be a point to the winner, maybe more if you are lower lvl. Now when people aim for 2nd and 3rd, the game is ruined. Really hope they will change something. And shouldnt be able to see the cards played. That a part of the game to remember!

According to the FAQ (https://boardgamearena.com/faq?anchor=f ... renaworks2), that's how it works.

"When you win a game in Arena mode, you gain Arena points. You gain 3 Arena points when beating an opponent from the same league, 2 points when beating an opponent from league N-1, 1 point for beating an opponent from league N-2, and so on (and the same for higher leagues).

When you lose a game, you lose Arena points. However, you cannot go below 0 points.

(Note: If you play a 3+ game, the number of Arena points you get is divided by the number of opponents. So beating 5 opponents from the same league brings you 3 x 5 / 5 = 3 points)."

In this particular case, diamond is two leagues above gold and three above silver, so that gives 0+0+1 shields, divided by 3 opponents, and I guess they round it down.

The reward point system is a complete mess. Sometimes you play a game and if you win you basically don't win nothing: so what's the point of playing? I should be restricted to play vs too different players ELO, cause if i lose i bleed... if i win i win nothing. Seem logic.

You can set that already if you find the setting. Do so, problem solved.

Yes but... there aren't thousands of players in the game.

So whats your request then? Want to play asap and against as much diversity as possible, but only equal ELO, while saying by yourself that there is not so many ppl that you actually have the choice? Doesnt seem that logic to me.

ELO is irrelevant to Arena. If you want to control the ELO of your opponents (if you want any useful control on your opponents, actually), just don't play Arena and use manual settings.
