Does the new version have any non-graphics changes?

All the comments I have seen on here seem to focus on the universally hated graphics changes. I have a slightly different question. Does the new version have any new cards or nobles? Has it removed any that used to exist? I have played a few games with it and have not noticed any changes, but it would be good to have a definitive answer.
