New graphics - too bad

I agree with all the comments, the new design does not work for playing online - The cards are difficult to view/read! I also agree that having an option to select which version you wish to play should be available. I hope BGA is not bound by some contractual agreement with game brand or designers though.

If version option is not possible at the very least changing the game background to a darker color would help make the cards pop a bit for easier viewing and playing.

That's my concern. Obviously no one is going to say anything if it's a legal situation, but the new printing literally has new card art and box art. I don't like the new box art, but that's another story.

I wonder if they even legally have the rights to use the old art anymore?

Whoever made these color changes, swollow your pride and change them back, hard to see, nothing good about them

Agree. Very much a retrograde step. Why was this done? Makes it very hard to see, as stated, and is a downgrade IMO.

Moderators have no control over publisher choices or licensing conditions.

Only the publisher could answer if they even have the option to go back to old art. On BoardGameGeek, comments seem to almost exclusively be positive in the thread (https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/330899 ... dor/page/1). None of the recent reviews seem to mention the new art either (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/148 ... ?comment=1).

If the physical version looks fine, and only the digital version has problems, and there is no criticism on BGG...then I suspect the publisher is either unaware or considers it a vocal minority complaining.

And moderators have no control over game code and resources. If you want to reach the developer (who's the only one who could do something, if allowed by the licensing), you better use the bug report system. This is mostly a user-to-user forum.

Please revert back to the original:

The new graphics have poor readability and make game play hard and irritating.

Furthermore the new artwork appears very juvenile, nieve, caricaturist - this feels like a downgrade from the original.

I simply cant play this game anymore if it continues to use these poor graphics, it's a shame that I will now lose my Saturday morning tradition of a splendor game and coffee.

I really don’t like the new graphics. My eyes cannot separate the colours on the board as easily. It takes forever for my brain to see which colours are available. Have tried in three games now - I am giving up playing this game here.
