Turn History - A Newcomer Question

Post by jalexone »

Sorry, if this is the wrong place to ask this question.

I can only see the previous players turn actions in games. Is there a way to see all players actions, at least since my last action. I play TTA, Stone Age, Puerto Rico, and a couple of others. This problem exists in all games and I think that I must be missing something.

If you click on an entry in the game log on the right, the game will replay from that point.

There's kind of a white box in the move/chat area that says Replay Last Moves. That theoretically should go back to your last move and show everything since. (Occasionally it doesn't seem to work very well.)

The problem with clicking on one of those moves, which yes will show that move forwards, is if what you want to see has "fallen off the page" you can't exactly click on it. But if your last move as fallen off the page, the Replay Last Moves button still should go back that far.

Thanks for the answers. I guess what I really need is the ability to go back to the turn prior to my last turn. I usually forget to look at something until after I make the mistake of rushing though my turn. But I guess that is not possible. I will have to learn to take a little time before I make my move in the future.

You can run through a replay of the entire game. Unfortunately you have to start at the beginning and run through turn by turn, which is a pain. There is a way to put a turn number into it to sort of jump to another point, but I think it's difficult to use. I think the turn number is not the actual turn number, but how many turns from where you've last left off. I just know it's strange.

But you can always try this. It would be nice if we could start at the end of the game and go backwards.

It's actually called "go to move" not "go to turn". So it's not a turn number it's a move number. A move is afaik the tiniest level of actions a player does. To give an example: In this game of Year of the Dragon moves 15 to 17 are one turn (at least I'd consider them a turn). And then there's what's usually called a round (12 in YotD, 4-6 in Troyes etc.). It would be great if one could skip to a designated turn, round or even to x % progress instead of move x.

Regarding "previously on this game": My last turn should definitely be included.
