Consecutive Win Penalty?

Seeing the #2 player online, I decided to join a game with them in the hopes of getting some really nice elo.
However, I've only got 4.31 elo from them, -25% for multiple consecutive wins.

I think this penalty is being misapplied here. I suspect that given a win record of 4-0 against the #2 player, the system may suspect collusion and thus lower the elo rewards to mitigate this.

However, given that I have a record of 54-1 in my games, I think a win record of 4-0 against any player is not suspicious at all! I like to believe my win record is indicative of my skill in the game, and the alternate explanation (I'm colluding with all of my opponents) is simply preposterous.

This system seems to punish skilled play!

As an aside, I am by no means perfect at the game, and in fact I usually make at least 1 mistake every game. For example, in the above game, even though I won by a margin of 40 points - I still made an inaccuracy by passing up Jericho. The reason I passed up Jericho is that I wanted Gyeong for Electricity the following turn. I overlooked the fact I could take Jericho and still afford Gyeong later. Not getting Jericho cost me Robotics on turn 6!

I don't get it.
On PoC ranking, you are the first, the best, the numero uno, the grand master champion of all times so far, the top divinity, the final boss AND the post final hidden true boss, in addition of being a relatively good PoC player ... and you think that somehow you were cheated and got less than your deserved?

Hello,

I took some informations.

The anti-ELO-boost protection was implemented a few months ago on BGA. Basically, if you always play against the same person, your ELO gain will progressively decrease, so that everyone don't inflate his ELO by playing with a friend all the time. It's the same for all games, nothing specific to PoC i think.
