Prelude: Research Coordination wild tag can be used together with tag-related discount cards?

If I have Research Coordination in my tableau and also a card that gives a tag-related discount (like Shuttles 155, -2 Mcredits to play space tag card), does that mean I can now play a non-space card and get the -2 discount?

No. The Wild Tag can only be used when looking for tags, like a prerequisite or a card like Miranda Resort (#051).
