"Non-Vodka Spirits"

I'm playing my very first game of Distilled. One of the spirit awards is "sell a non-vodka spirit using a bottle from the same region." If I make moonshine, it's considered to be from my region. If I buy an appropriate bottle on turn 1, can I claim this award?

Yes. Its non-trivial to make moonshine though as you will rely on luck of draw.

In a similar note, there's level A goals in solo mode to "Collect 5 non-Vodka spirit labels that require grain/plant/fruit sugars." Idk if it's a bug or not, but I'd assume aquavit should work for this goal. It didn't on my recent game

I'd assume it's a bug, since even though you can make it with grain and/or plant, it still should work. The wording "non-Vodka" implies that vodka would otherwise count, and that can be made with any sugars.
