Game Preferences Not Used When Matching In Arena

Playing Martian Dice at Platinum Arena level (there are five levels) I set my personal matching preference to never want to play two or more levels away from me. I should then only match with Elite and Gold players but never Silver or Bronze. I’ve been matched a few times with Bronze players. If I win vs Bronze I receive zero shields. That’s why there is no point me pairing for Arena purposes.

I’ve played BGA for a year and this is the first Arena season I’m spotting mismatches going against my preferences.

I raised a bug ticket but thought I’d also ask here for others experience.

Make sure you're using the "old lobby" / "Play Now" page to queue. Using the "new lobby" won't remember your preferences, and you're not able to set them for Arena mode there.

That’s possibly the issue, and a different problem I have, that Martian Dice does not show up in the old lobby along with a few other games. Most games I’ve played are there.

So I can fix the display issue on the old lobby by tagging the game as a favourite. Not sure why I didn’t think to do this previously! I’ll launch games from the old lobby and see if the issue persists. Thank you!

It will show in the old lobby if you favourite it - click on the heart

It’s completely random why some games show as recently played there and others don’t so need the heart/fave tagging
