Board B is worse than board D in relation to parrots. At least with board d it doesn’t matter when you get the parrots on board b even if you get an equal amount of parrots if you get them too late it still doesn’t matter.

One user I played with suggested parrots should be -2 instead.

-2 points may prove to be too much of a disadvantage, with a consequence of every subsequent Parrot sinking you further down a hole.

One thought is to make Parrot scoring relative to the board. Board D (The Deserted Island) is far too difficult to win if your opponent gains two or three Parrot advantage, so I'd consider making their scoring more restrictive on that particular board.

I just played a game where my opponent on Board D played 7 Parrots, I only got to play 4 tiles. But because of the +8 column he still won with ease. Something has to be done with either that board or the parrots scoring.

Well, I have played over 800 games of this and I see no reason to continue. I will tell you if anything changes after 900.

To be honest, seeing your 46% winrate compared to the top guys' 65% or so, you still have some progress to do in this game

I am not too sure that someone's win rate on a game that is rated 4/5 on the "luck" scale is really way to judge someones skill. It may be a way to judge their luck. If i had the time to do the analysis I gladly would but I would say that most of the time the person who gets more parrots and is able to flip that will win the game 90% of the time. It might be even higher with the amount of time you play a few of the boards.

Parrots must be nerfed somehow, someway.

Yes it's a luck-heavy game, but there is a reasonably significant element of skill, so win rate has some meaning.

Luck is another way of talking about variance. When you have done 900 games, variance is close to non-existing and we can say your winrate reflects your true level. Imagine throwing a coin 900 times, you would be really close to 450/450, even if you got streaks of 10 heads or tails (i.e. losses to parrots streaks)

So yeah, if people have 65% winrate in 1000 games and you have 45%, there is something you're doing wrong

Board d has other factors going for it as well like its unique layout. It is the only board that isn’t flat

That's a common misconception. The more times you toss a coin, the larger the expected difference between heads and tails will be. What happens is that the difference will become more and more insignificant in relative terms as you increase the number of tosses. So it won't be close to 450/450, but it will be close to 50%/50%.

The first graph is the absolute difference between heads and tails, it just goes up. The second graph is divided by the total number of tosses, it goes down.
