No, you're not. The UI for the map is atrocious. I just downright quit a game because I just had enough. The stupid prompt for actions would cover half the map, and trying to navigate what is left of the map is close to impossible. For some reason, the map UI works better if I play with my iphone. But there is just too much crammed onto that little screen to play properly. Everything about the game is cumbersome. And why do all the colors look so muted?

This game should be easier to play on my PC, but that is NOT the case. We really need more people to file a complaint because this will end up finalizing if we don't.

The map needs it's own space. It shouldn't be relegated to the side as is. It makes it impossible to see details; especially the workers. It should also have designated control buttons to scroll + zoom as well as drag+pinch+scroll.

Regarding the muted colors, you should take a look at changing the settings. I assume you know about the gear symbol that brings up the settings. Look at the map settings, as there are options there that deal with color and saturation.

As to your complaints about the map size and scrolling, it would be helpful if you submit suggestions in the bug report system and be as specific in the details as possible. The idea of having button for zooming is clear, but I'm not sure what else you would suggest. Maybe take a look at the reports and suggestions that are already there and see if you have any new ideas to help make it better. Or even simply upvote the suggestions that you like.

Having played with the implementation a lot already, I personally find it quite usable. I don't know if this is merely a matter of being familiar with the system or some other reason, but I'm not sure what percentage of players are finding it as cumbersome as you. Perhaps I'm in the minority, in which case I hope the dev can work some magic to make it better for everyone.

I'm with Poser and think the implementation works quite well, and I only started playing once it came to BGA. I've found that setting the map to full screen solved a lot of my issues w/ scrolling.

Dont worry, more work on the map interaction is planned, i will get back to it once my holidays are over, but bga admins thought the game was still good enough to play and that it would be a shame to not let players play it for couple more months. If you disagree, feel free not playing it and waiting for the official release

I'm glad someone reported this issue. Yesterday it annoyed me so much that I left the game. I don't like how it works at all. A +/- zoom button would be nice

Agree with the comments on map scrolling. The map is impossible on mobile and once you're in it good luck trying to zoom back out and escape
