Request: see how many open spaces players have

I would find it very helpful would there be an indication next to every players name that displays the number of open spaces they still have.

This way you have a better feel if you need to start taking bigger pieces and not fall behind too much.

This number is not even played at the table. And it doesn't matter whether it is in a contiguous area or several smaller areas. I usually count how many 2x2 tiles he can lay down.

I have often thought seeing this number would be useful. Either a number or a percentage.

I agree with Kvar that this figure would have very different meanings depending on how far along the game is, and the distribution of open spaces. But I still think it would be useful, mostly when the board is between perhaps 30%-70% full. Less helpful before and after those points.
