Sound Alert when Live Game starts?

Hi there,

Is there supposed to be a sound alert when a Live game begins?

I don't often play Live, usually play turn based but today I queued for a couple of live games. It said there would be roughly 5 mins so I went to a new tab. Checked in later to find the game had started and I had been timed out.

Annoying for me, and also annoying for the opponent.

Is there supposed to be a noise when a live game is due to start? I sometime see that I have to click a game to agree to begin it, why did that not happen this time?

Any tips on how not to annoy my opponents by not seeing a Live game has begun?

There is an audio alert if you stay within that tab.

If you are referring to Jaipur #561275668, that was an Arena game. There is no accept button for Arena, because that obviously would allow you to pick and choose your opponents.

Only if the tab is active?

Even with sounds on, they don't always work. What's way worse is that there are some games that people never get put in at all, ever since the change to the game start process that was incompletely rolled out a year or more ago. It happens to me fairly often, and some days I am in multiple games that someone or other never sees start. Sometimes this is human error, yes. But often it is the website simply failing to put a person in the game.

Absolutely terrible that this happens with such frequency and is never addressed.
