Nice job Tof63. Funny/ironic extension.

Can you please make an other one to bypass autoseat/autostart system too? ;)

Thanks, but why do you find it ironic?

The aim of the extension is to add some cool new features, and to be able to customize some existing features that are not customizable without the extension.
Most of the additions to the extension have been suggested by users, so if you have any ideas don't hesitate, and if it's feasible in a reasonable time I'll do it. (For example, the dark mode was unreasonable, it takes me too long to adapt it for each new game, I wouldn't do it again :D)

What do you suggest about autoseat, can you explain?

Ironic that bga force new user interface and we need an extension to counterforce the old one.

I can't suggert anything, but as i see autoseat ruins too many tables.

edit: one suggestion, should maximalize the number of real-time tables one player can join. Sometimes i see players waiting in 2-3 different tables in different games as host and some more tables as player.

You can queue for multiple real-time tables, but once you join one, you are removed from the others. You can't necessarily predict which table will fill first, so it's reasonable to queue for multiple tables in the hope that you don't have to wait too long.

That's how I read your comment, so that at least makes two of us.

To be honest, I didn't think it could be seen as ironic.
I'm a developer, it's my job (and I love it), but I have a big flaw: when I'm asked to add or modify a feature on existing software, I can't help thinking about existing users who might not want it.
As a result, I often try to add an option to disable the new feature, but sometimes I can't because it's too expensive or too complex, and I get frustrated.
You have to remember, though, that despite everything, the BGA team has kept both versions of the lobby, and obviously it's more expensive to maintain... honestly, it's not insignificant, and if they hadn't done it, it wouldn't have been a simple browser extension that could have done anything about it.
The other point is that I have a lot of friends who play on BGA who use the new lobby and think it's great. I think they're part of the silent majority of satisfied people.
BUT, when a player asked me if we could do something to redirect them to the old lobby, I felt there were enough users who were bothered by it to try and do something about it. Still, it's nicer when everyone's happy :)

@Gooorn: Regarding your suggestions, I have the impression that you're describing behaviors that are more server-side.
But maybe I don't understand exactly what you're describing, I admit I sometimes have a bit of trouble with English (thanks deepl :D).
In any case, the extension only lets you modify things that are 100% browser-side.

I 100% agree with this.

And despite I prefer the old style lobby over new one, and despite i like human-controlled table creation and table management more than automatized or AI-managed, i still think that BGA is a great site and a great community.

edit. PS: Don't worry, if you ever have trouble with broken English feel free to ask me for some lessons. ;)

I installed the extension but I can't find anywhere the option to force the classic lobby. Anybody can guide me?

Thank you

EDIT: Found it. For anybody else who is searching and can't find like me:
It is on the Miscellaneous parameters tab but not as on the published printscreens.
You actually need to enable the first option "Hyperlinks are not modified, the default lobby is used (usually the new one)." (seriously???)

If you have any ideas for better wording, please let me know.
This one was suggested to me by users who didn't find the previous one logical.
