For future seasons, can we change Cribbage back to 1 game sets? When playing asynchronously, it takes a very long time to complete a game which makes it slow to rise up through the ranks. I still have three games left over from last season that are in play with each of us taking 2-3 turns a day.

Re: FAQ: Arena mode
Is this not been fixed yet?
Given you don't have the option to cancel a game in Arena mode, pairing should be blocked for N-3 levels and below. Or a standard 1 point/+10 EAS (if you're in Elite already) should be awarded. Please fix this soon as this is really against the competitive play (cuz your competing for nothing)

You can change your settings to block pairing for 1,2,3 levels above and below, if you wish.SidK26 wrote: ↑02 July 2024, 11:08 Is this not been fixed yet?

Re: FAQ: Arena mode
It makes absolutely no sense to gain 0 points for winning against a player 3+ below.
1. : 3+ below doesn't necessarily mean it is a weak player, just means, they just started out in Arena mode. (Especially for luck based games)
2. : Playing the game takes a lot of time. At least 1 point should always be rewarded.
3. : If you don't gain points by facing off players 3+ below, then don't match these kinds of players in Arena mode, or this can't be taken seriously at all.
4.: I see a lot of players here, who are angry about this! Please change this system.
5.: It feels like a lot of concerns are not looked at by the team at all.
6.: At least you should state the Arena Rules more clearly.
Thank you

But that should be the norm and not be found out by winning a lot of games and gaining 0 points,
Re: FAQ: Arena mode
I'm upping this question, as I can't find the answer on the forum. I think I've read somewhere it's based on number of players, but does anyone know the exact rule?

Re: FAQ: Arena mode
I've largely ignored Arena mode up until now.
Recently I decided to give it a try.
This is my experience:
Whenever I enter an Arena game (as Bronze 1), my opponent is an Elite player from way up top the ladder and totally destroys me.
I do this several times, then drop to Bronze 0.
What's the idea behind this? When I play normal, non-Arena games against opponents roughly my ELO or slightly above, I have a decent win rate.
Why can I never play against roughly equal opponents in Arena mode, and climb up the ladder some until I hit my skill ceiling?
I don't seem to understand how the system works...

Re: FAQ: Arena mode
If you start games under Play Now you can set the options so that you only get opponents from the same level. For me that works to 100% in 2 player games, in multi player games I occasianally get 1 player from higher tan my option indicated, but tbh I can tolerate that (at least I have a fair chance to reach the 2nd position.
