Looking for a board game from when I was a kid

Post by RoachonDonut »

I’m looking for the name of a board game that I played as a kid. It was in German, western theme with 4 characters drawn on the actual board. 2 guys, 2 girls. I remember one of the guys was dressed all in black (kinda of look like an outlaw) while the other guy was older (western style banker or shop owner). And I believe the rest of the board was red.
It had a relatedness to Sorry/Parcheesi where you had 4 pawns and had to roll out of “home”.
The difference though is, you had to work your way to the top of the board and get only one of your pawns to the goal spot. There was only one spot and the first person to it, won. There were a variety of pathways to go. Along the pathways there were these white disks that you could pick up and place in front of other players to form a barricade and slow them down. (I believe you had to land on it to remove/pick up).
I haven’t played the game in over 20 yrs and remember having a lot of fun. Would love to play that game (or similar version/American version would be fine) with my kids.

Thanks!
Hopefully someone knows the name.

Definitely Malefiz: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/2322/malefiz

In the variant I played we had to bring home all four meeples. Could take hours sometimes!

That’s it! Thanks Janetta and richyfourtytwo.

I use Google for everything and didn’t think about using it for this. Thought the game was to obscure.
