Can we switch from longest road to most destination for a future Arena Season?

Isn't the standard rules just longest route? I don't think you see most tickets without using alternate rulesets like 1910.

Right, that's what I'm proposing. One season using the alternate set/rules, for a change to mix things up and make people try a new strategy/way of playing. Might make it more interesting for a couple of months.

You would need to implement it as a game option first, before you could even ask for it in Arena settings. And is it an official game rule?
BGA says no house rules without explicit formal publisher/designer consent.

It's a part of the 1910 expansion rules which are already a game setting option in normal play. The fact that people don't even know about this just shows we've been playing the same way for too damn long lol.

I think he knew that, I believe he thought you were proposing using globetrotter WITHOUT the 1910 expansion (I was confused also).

So what you are hoping for is just a switch to the 1910 expansion?

I guess. Even just for one arena season. I just find it would be interesting to have to switch up strategies and play the game differently for even a short time.

Don't get me wrong, I love the game and there are lots of interesting ways to play it as is. But I do find it repetitive since its been like this for as long as i've participated in Arena.

Was just a suggestion to maybe mix things up for one season?
