Blatant cheating going on in Ark Nova

WOW!!! Stumbled onto this whilst looking at playing a 1st game of AN (on here, have limited [losing] experience face to face).
Flipping glad I'm not competent/experienced enough to play Arena games (of anything yet)!!!
Kind of puts me off ever wanting 2 play in an Arena game, certainly as a newbie.
(OK this does presume I could ever qualify which seems unlikely).
I understand quitting, even mid-game, rather than waste time playing from wot appeared 2 me 2 B a losing position that was unlikely 2 B possible 2 turn round. But from a winning position mid-game???
I don't quit games f-t-f so won't do so online, but I'm new to BGA so ...
Is quitting a "thing" on BGA?
Seems moderators did take some action?

you have a button to ask for everyone to give up the game. Have a little message in chat to explain, and the players will probably agree.

Well haven't found the button, but have had a 1 way chat with the Chinese player.
So now I've got my "it's a conspiracy" hat on.
It probably isn't, but when paranoia starts ... !!!

I think this person is back and branching out with many many new accounts.

A friend of mine plays quite a few general pick up games says almost every time he posts now he gets a fresh account that is obviously more experienced (not just at ark nova but also the bga implementation) than their # of plays indicate. Players with 0 games played overall know the bga interface perfectly.

I am not sure what the point of creating a bunch of new accounts could be other than shenanigans so I think BGA should look at some sort of AI to identify suspicious patterns.

Does this stuff happen on other games also? I typically play games in person but I had an experience where a player ditched the game right when end game was triggered and it was really frustrating. I couldn't tell if they are one of these ones.

No worries about that, because they just do it between their own accounts.
Might happen at other games, but Ark Nova is one of the ( if not the) most populair games on here so probably why it more obvious here.
Also there is a very active Ark Nova community on here and discord/Youtube and Arena winner getting mentioned on card in the game so the prestige is higher on getting rank 1.

Hi, in the last turn of my opponent he was able to gain 5 conservation points by supporting america (using the slot for 5 american icons eventhough he had only 4, and the 4th slot was already taken by me to make sure he won't complete this conservation project.)

After the game I checked his cards and apparently there was no cards that could allow him to disregard completely the last american icon that he needed to score the 5 points...

so am I missing something or is he cheating ?!! I am not very experienced player but this game felt like I completely outplayed him and still loss somehow ...
