Re: Google Chrome and Firefox Extension

Great extension, how did I find this only now? :)

I have some ideas for features, sorry if any of them have been suggested before:

1. In the (old) lobby, add a "fast-create" button, which creates the game with a single click, using my current default options. (The normal "create" sends me to the game page, where I need to click "open table for other players", and then navigate back to the lobby to do the same for another game).
2. Make a single button to do the above for all games in my favorites (perhaps this makes sense only for real-time?). I usually have about 5-6 games in my favorites, and I'm willing to play whichever one I can find partners for, but it's a hassle opening all of them - especially if one of them starts and is cancelled, and then I need to do it again...).
3. Keep "see all available tables" in the lobby always open (normally, it closes when switching between real-time and turn-based).

Thanks for all your work on this extension!

Thanks for the feedback and these ideas!
I need to analyze this, I don't know if everything is possible from the extension.
I'll try to look into it next week.

I've just published a new version with dark mode improvements for quite a few games. It'll be available in a few hours.
I'm checking all the games one by one to see if there have been any changes since my last pass and if there are any improvements to be made. (I've reviewed 760 of the 940 currently managed).

To all: don't hesitate to point out any problems you see, to help me in my work!

My only concern is that scripting to improve table creation and such, even though it would be awesome and I wish BGA supported it, might draw the attention of BGA over concerns about excessive requests or something. I'm not sure.

I sure will not do anything if there is a risk like this...

I really don't know. I just wonder if there's a difference between "modify how the website renders" which doesn't affect BGA, and "start doing custom queries".

I agree 100%, which is why I need to take some time to study it all. I don't want to make any custom queries that could cause problems. And I don't want to get into too much time-consuming dev either, to be honest :D
As you can see, I've made it a point not to give others more work with this extension :)
However, the extension already does some queries (tracking open tables, for example). It's not just rendering now :)
We'll see, I hope to have time to look at it next week.

I've just released a new version with two new features.
It will be available in a few hours, until it has been validated.

The first was suggested by GTSchemer and allows you to disable the display of ELO scores in games. Don't worry about whether your opponent is stronger than you: just play!

The second was suggested by yaron and adds a “Fast start” button to games in the lobby. This button allows you to create a game table, just like the classic “Start” button, except that you stay in the lobby. There's also an option to have this button automatically open the table to other players.
I'm sure that this new feature doesn't add any load to the server, quite the contrary in fact: you don't change pages, so there's even a gain!

These two options are still in “beta”, so please let me know if you find any problems, and please bear with me ;)
