So it's pretty clear that the in-game chat does not work very well for turn-based games. I understand that it wasn't as big of a problem when games were only real-time and you would see the chats as they happen. But with turn-based, chats drop off and are lost after some period of time (less than a day?) that is very easy to miss, especially in games with four or five players where you might make a move every few days.
This is especially problematic in certain groups like Game Tutors where people like to teach others new games. It's hard to ensure that everyone has seen the original instructions, and it's very easy to miss questions as you go because it's not your turn before the chats disappear.
Is there any way we can get a scrollable chat history for an entire game? Having them disappear so quickly means there are many missed chats. Or can we separate the chats out from the rest of the move status updates so that they're easier to review? Additionally, perhaps there could be some sort of status flag (different color background?) for games that have chats waiting.
I'd love to hear other opinions and feedback on these topics.
