Longer real time turn options?

Has it ever been suggested to be able to have the ability to increase turn time options when looking to play, say to 30 seconds or one minute etc? The only options seem to be 10 seconds (as in Lost Cities?) and risk getting kicked out, or twice a day mode.

Every game has three different real-time Game Speed modes (Slow, Normal, and Fast) with maximum total turn times and an increment added at the beginning of each turn. The amount of total time and the increment varies by game. These are changed using the "Game speed" option.

For Lost Cities, you are describing the Normal real-time setting: +0:09 per turn (maximum 1:27). But there are two other settings for Lost Cities:
1) Slow: +0:14 per turn (maximum 1:42)
2) Fast: +0:06 per turn (maximum 1:18)

Additionally, if even the slowest real-time setting is still too fast for you, "twice a day mode" is not the only turn-based mode. There are eight different turn-based modes, including a 24 moves per day mode (within a 12-hour window). So it's not the case that other options don't exist.

Or maybe you know about all these and you just want a mode that's even slower than the current slow mode. In that case, yes it has been suggested before, as well as people wanting a real-time setting that is even faster than the current fast mode.

In Lost Cities, my opponent can pick up discards, but not me. On iPad and PC. Message says this move is not allowed?

Are there glitches in this game do you know?

The default (Normal) time starts at 1:27 maximum time, but that doesn't mean you get that amount of time every turn. You have that at the beginning of the game, then at the beginning of each turn they add 9 seconds to whatever was on your clock at the end of the previous turn. So if you routinely use more than 9 seconds you will eventually have less and less time (because you are consuming more than you are gaining). In contrast, the slow setting adds 14 seconds per turn instead, and lets you have a maximum of 1:42 on your clock. So if you take less than 14 seconds in a turn, you will build up time in your time bank (up to a maximum of 1:42) for those turns when you need more time to think.

It sounds like you are asking to always have a minimum of 1+ minute of thinking time every turn. Those settings are found in the more complicated games like Through the Ages (Complexity: 5/5, +1:35 per turn (maximum 4:00)), Ark Nova (Complexity: 5/5, +1:29 per turn (maximum 4:00)), and Gaia Project (Complexity: 4/5, +1:25 per turn (maximum 4:00)). With Lost Cities at a complexity of 1/5, you are given less time.
