As a developer - not only of this implementation - I learned that you can't please everyone.

Nevertheless I put a lot of thought and effort into this game and it seems many really like it. Instead of just stating that this implementation has the worst interface (which I'm pretty sure it hasn't), I suggest you to use the BGA built in feature to make some suggestions or use the Darwin's Journey sub forum here and post in detail what your issues are.

EDIT: I saw you actually already made a post in the sub forum during the Beta. You apparently had issues that you could have fixed yourself by adjusting the settings the implementation provides which is also answered in your post. Maybe just check this out.

Really? I think it's one of the best interfaces. What in the world are you complaining about?

Huge Congrats !

The game is fantastic and the implementation is the best I've seen so far on BGA !
It could take one game to completely feel confortable with the interface and discover all the possible options we have, and use them to adapt the interface to our own preferences but after that, it is a real pleasure.

Thanks ! Thanks ! Thanks !

First of all, if you have to change the settings to make it playable, that is bad. I have never had to do that with any other game on BGA so why is it OK here?

Secondly, I get you are trying to keep the colours of the RL board but that is problematic. The pieces blend in with the board and it is very easy to not see another player meeple, especially on the islands. This happened in a recent game and completely ruined the whole round (and probably my game.

Thirdly, if you are playing a four player game, you can't scroll down enough to see the fourth players stats. Never seen that in any other game.

That is just a few of issues. I own this game and love it, having played it many times, but this version does not feel smooth at all. I'm sure you did put a lot of work into it but you have put it out too early. It needs more work.

The game is perfectly playable with the default settings. It might not be the settings that fit you the best hence you simply can change them, but your statement "not playable" is just plain wrong.

You are the first person complaining about the colours, but instead of stating the implementation is bad just create a suggestion of how you would like the meeples to be changed in order to make it better playable for you. With suggestions I can potentially work, with simple unspecific complaints I can't.

The scrolling can also be adjusted in the settings to behave like all other games on BGA. I set the right side to not scroll by default to always have the history table displayed. Instead of making the right side scrollable, you can also just collapse the history table. You have all the options, just use them.

No game will ever be perfect, but this implementation was played, appreciated and approved by a lot of players during its Alpha and Beta phases and consequently released at BGAs request.

Agreed, impossible to make something that pleases everyone but me and my friends that play BGA games regularly all agree that this is one of the best interfaces and overall implementations on the site.

This is a really great adaption of the game! Love it, that you can play the game in like 40 minutes or so and the solo game is also amazing!
Thanks to all the people involved in bringing this game to BGA!!!

Classic Nedward with the high-pitched scream at the idea of evolution. :D
