ELO and tournament eligibility

Post by madelineb »

Newbish question; I understand that in order to be eligible for some events (ie, the Ticket to Ride anniversary tournament, Arenas) I need a 100 ELO in the game in question. I have heard that when you're below 100, ELO can only increase. Is it possible for ELO to decrease below 100 once I've gone over? (ie, is it possible I could go from being eligible for an event now, to ineligible if I perform poorly in an ongoing game?) Thanks!

if you lose and you're lower than 100, then you don't lose ELO.

Once you reach 100 ELO, it can never drop below that again.

Be aware, if your real ELO is 99,xx then BGA will show that your ELO is 100.
But it is false and in this case BGA will not accept that you participante to the Ticket to Ride anniversary tournament or Arenas.
