Tzolkin expansion?

Post by Von_Wulf »

Tzolkin is a great game, but the fact that there is one major winning strategy in the base game ruins it, in my opinion. I'd rather start another game on BGA.
Are there plans to add the expansion of tzolkin in the near future?

BGA policy is to only ask permission to develop one title per publisher at a time. Until very recently Tash-Kalar was the title BGA was working on from Czech Games Editions. Even when a game is initially available to play for everyone there are still trial periods waiting on publisher play testing and approval before a game is considered finished. Looking at the information on the dev site Tash-Kalar seems to be at or very close to that point.

Once the spot for a new title to be requested from a publisher is open, and the publisher doesn't have a preference of their own, an experienced BGA volunteer dev has to commit to the project before BGA will approach Czech Games Editions to ask permission to port their game. After all that then a BGA volunteer will be able to work on porting the game.

I agree with your sentiment though. I would love to have the Tzolkin expansion on here. It adds a lot more replay ability to the game which the original lacks.
