What exactly is a premium game?

Do I understand correctly? If a game is premium, does it mean that at least one of the players has to be premium? If I am premium, I can play with anyone but if my premium ends and I start a game, I have to wait for a premium player to join my table. Is that correct??

If you are not premium, you cannot start a premium game. Not even to wait for a premium member. You have to wait until a premium member starts the game.

As nik592 reported in this thread, from the perspective of a non-premium member, starting a premium game looks like this:
My partner is not premium. If I start a non-premium game like Yahtzee on their account, it also says "Hosted by [username]". But if I start a premium game instead, it says "Waiting for Premium players..." followed by "Premium game: Go Premium to start a game in ~15 mins".
