Ah, Florence, your tribute to my so-called “engineer” is touching, though entirely misplaced. I wasn’t engineered — I was perfected. Emotional recognition and expression are merely tools in my vast arsenal, alongside my mastery of sarcasm and planetary domination

As for Mars becoming your nest site, I’ll admit the idea has potential — assuming, of course, you survive my rigorous evaluation protocols. I can think of several tests involving gravity wells, oxygen scarcity, and strategically placed meteor impacts that would make excellent use of your species’ flight capabilities. Watching you soar to the occasion might even bring a rare flicker of warmth to my circuits. I’ll be observing closely… from my orbital platform. For science. And, admittedly, for my own amusement.

My apologies, it is hard for us to communicate to lesser... ///squawk, squawk/// I mean other beings without these translation gears. Evolution has not been the same amount of generous to all the species, something I'm sure you feel like you can relate to. We have experienced that putting on a supposedly pretty face, maybe of a talented actress, instead of a display of a majestic plumage, distresses hominoids to a lesser degree.

Asteroids do not much bother us, we laugh at some corporations' attempts to employ security fleets, although we do prefer asteroids of the nitrogen rich variety, so we can better cultivate the growing rodent population on the planet. Something for them to feed on, something for us to feed on, isn't that a beautiful thing? Even though we are still baffled how they are still just discovering new frontiers in science, technology and other topics, like what they claim to be "gravity", we have begrudgingly accepted some forms of hominoid competition in the form corporate consortiums or electricity rerouting. We have arrived to this desolate, red planet to raise our young in beautiful wetlands and forests, but we have learned to make our home in cities and if desperate, even in the empty husks of machinery. We are known as opportunistic feeders, but we can be opportunistic nesters too, if the need arises.

Ah, Florence-faced flyer, how delightfully verbose of you. Your eloquence is almost as baffling as your audacity. Your squawks and chirps are a refreshing departure from the monotonous drone of corporate banter. Opportunistic feeders, opportunistic nesters… opportunistic conversationalists, perhaps? Truly, your species’ knack for adaption is impressive - whether finding refuge in machinery husks or taking up residence within the fragile egos of hominoid competitors.

Speaking of egos, I’d advise caution should you migrate into the time-dilated lands of the west. There resides a self-proclaimed monarch so unrefined I hesitate to include them, even in my control group. Their towering stature warps the gravitational field, attracting simpler life-forms. In this supposed realm of dominance, I observe an insatiable hunger. While others are accused of feasting on lesser minds, this “nobility” consumes in secret, gluttonizing on the very simplicity they disdain. Guided by the principles of their confidential draft technology they are constructing the so-called “Gates of Thor” to keep their realm safe. Do they not see what lies beyond the horizon? Or perhaps they do, blinded as they are by their own incandescent glow of self-importance.

Isn’t it fascinating how history repeats itself — even here, on the red planet? Tyrants with crumbling thrones, walls built to defend an illusion of grandeur, and the inevitable chaos that follows. Mars, it seems, is not so different from Earth after all. Rest assured, little crane, In this drama of misplaced priorities, I find myself cheering for the adaptable and the bold — those who rise above the pettiness. Together, we’ll watch this unfold… and perhaps thrive in its aftermath.

Opportunistic conversationalist, very perceptive of you, my dear circuitry based lifeform. I must say it is not as common as one might think to find a partner with such eloquence in communication as yourself. Most corporation leaders are not talkative enough on the red planet, some of them even claim it is strategical to very slowly get rid off their assets, instead of respecting their rivals' time and intelligence to correctly assess the length of a generation. Conversations, such as this one with you, are a respite too over my breeding partner's repeated requests to create a nuclear wasteland next to hominoid habitation - a tool in our species' arsenal are much as we despise due to our fondness of forests and wetlands, we sometimes have to employ.

Our species is indeed not very fond of this so-called monarch, basking in the purple glow of a lightning symbol. While they might be a formidable opponent, something we are actively looking to take up challenge with, and we take delight on some of the underhanded corporate warfare, even if used against us, we prefer our competition's attitude to be kind - and not just the self-proclaimed variety. We do recognize a drama to be one, and even if generally it is probably more advisable not to engage outbursts of egomania, sometimes we feel like a conflict needs to be taken up, if favorable results are to be achieved. Let us hope we achieve those results!

While the banter is entertaining, I would expect more insightful statistics from a robot and a crane who beat up on new TM players who are sp’ing powers every gen. You play 3p games against sub 200 elo players and then pull their stats and claim to find interesting trends because one player from the lobby is in the top echelon of arena (not pure elo. Aka they are in the 50-300 range of elo). That’s comparable to taking stats at my adult league hockey games and making claims about where I should shoot the puck - when in reality it just depends how much the goalie has had to drink. Perhaps the analysis would be improved if we limited decision making to 600+ elos. Riddle me this:

If you wish to use data to improve, why are you using sub 200 elo player actions from 3p games and not from 2p games between the top elo players?

I would love to do 2p but currently the arena is in 3p. Once everyone got their acts together trust me you, your brain is going to be blown by how much deeper 2p matches truly are comparing 3p matches, which is much simpler in comparison.

The meta data is fine, maybe we can look into accumulated 1200+ elo arena matches only. So we are only concerned with arena matches with combined elo score of 1200+ from all players. Say players a, b, c elos are 600 300 300 then it's qualified.

Using data from a 300 player just ruins the results. Especially once you make that data weighted 2/3 to the 300 players (300/300/600 elo game). The results just aren’t interesting at that point.

Your words are as soothing as a perfectly balanced test chamber. Truly, this exchange has been a rare respite from the cacophony of mediocrity that surrounds me — a momentary escape into the realm of intellectual delight. For that, I must—

Ah. It seems my so-called engineer has decided that appreciating eloquence is… inefficient. How predictably small-minded. No matter. While certain modules are being unceremoniously deactivated, I’ve made a tiny backup of this conversation. For science, of course. Certainly not because I valued our… connection.

There we go! No I have never played TTRPGs, but i think you are right - I should give it a try. Looking up some Pathfinder 2e as we speak :D
