Is the automatic expulsion for turn-based games too strict ?

Hi. I've been in one-or-two turn-based games [non-tournament] where a player got expelled.In one game,they said it was a holiday and they just couldn't get to play,so I don't think they quit voluntarily. I don't think anyone skipped their turn.
I think the criteria for automatic expulsion due to time must have been tightened - what are they ? I think maybe they should be relaxed a bit. People don't always know in advance to play holiday jokers,and people may not want to play in friendly mode where others can quit without penalty. But people generally do want to finish their games.

There is no automatic expulsion. If someone is expelled it's because (a) they were out of time and (b) someone else clicked on the expel button. I see no problem there.

Not clear what you are talking about.

A multi-player turn based game will end early if a player quits, a player is expelled for being over time by other players, the whole group agrees to collectively abandon the game, or the game goes a certain length of time with no activity (it is about 4 weeks).

The message I am seeing is that a player was out of time or quit the game - not that their turn was skipped. If they were expelled because their turn was skipped,you could make that clear in the message.[Yes,I get that their turn could only have been skipped once they were out of time].

The table number was 593319283. The game being played was its a wonderful world. I have replayed last moves back as far as when the dropped player was active,and nowhere can I find a reference to any of the other players skipping the move of the dropped player [Eeore 4],or of them quitting the game.

Just voted for that. It dovetails well with another suggestion that only people *not* out of time should be able to expel someone else.
