A tight game where I took an early lead by winning the Artillery duel. After that I managed to get all my tanks to the front and although Duncan had a good turn where he destroyed three units my troops managed to keep the initiative and prevail.

Was a rout, after patiently pinging at the artillery until it succumbed I positioned my troops in the center. Two assaults and after that three consecutive Armor Assaults (that I had in my hand before starting this inferno) gave me a very clear and overwhelming advantage. Drawing a general advance to finish it of also helped.
Not tight not exciting but just one big card after another from the Russians.
Even the commissar was happy.

Tel Achille soutenu par la Déesse de la guerre Athéna, Jeronimon m'a lancé en pleine poitrine une main de cartes à faire pâlir Zeus de jalousie dans ce match retour ! Trois assauts de blindés T34 à la suite (!!!!) ont intégralement ventilé mes panzers, puis ce fut "la Bérézina" ! Dépité, j'en ai mangé mon casque !!
Je confirme ces résultats ! Bon vent à l'As des Pays-Bas !
Like Achilles supported by the Goddess of War Athena, Jeronimon threw a hand of cards in my face that would make Zeus turn green with jealousy in this return match! Three assaults by T34 tanks in a row (!!!!) completely demolished my panzers, then it was "the Berezina"! Enraged, I ate my helmet!!
I confirm these results! Good luck to the Dutch Ace!

My only real goal in this matchup was to not be swept. Objective achieved, though only narrowly! I did abysmally as the axis, not being able to move my forces up from the back of the map quickly enough to stave off the waves of Russians. And I lost my forward artillery quite early as well, which I knew was a terrible sign of things to come! When sides switched, I tried to mass up my Russians in the center for an offensive that couldn't be beat. A couple of armor units scouted to the back to try and weaken the units emerging from the forest. However, that also takes time which allowed Artimon18 the chance to put up a great fight in the meantime. A couple of assaults in the center finished out the game, but not before significant blood was drawn.
