I don’t write anything - after the robber’s move they bully me and write “YOU ARE NOT PLAYING BY THE RULES.” Previously, they at least asked if everyone agreed to play with this “option”, but now everyone thinks that THIS IS THE RULE

exactly , before it was asked .. now its not even a question for people , if you don't want to play with this unofficial rule you are targetted.

There should be a way to report when people target you because of this silly friendly robber thing. A lot of people play friendly robber and I'm fine to play it IF someone requests it BEFORE the game actually begins. But I really dislike that people are treating it as a real rule in the game and it makes newbies think it actually is in the original rules. Kinda wish there were a setting one could choose if one wanted to play friendly robber...

I'm listening to my partner have a full meltdown because the two people she is playing with assumed friendly robber without asking or discussing it in any way. Then they got angry when she rolled 7 and stole and spent the whole game blocking her and not attacking each other at all. Super toxic. Whether or not people feel it's a good thing they shouldn't be babies about it.

1. If you did not want to continue the game (indeed "refused" to continue) then why do you care about having been expelled from it?

2. It sounds like the play of the Monopoly card was enforced in this game, so why are you saying it "must be enforced"?

3. Don't accuse your opponents of cheating when they abide by the rules.

It is BGA policy that games and game variants are implemented as they have been written by the game designer. House rules are not implemented. There might be some counterexamples on BGA but I know of none.

Friendly robber has been implemented exactly as Klaus Teuber suggested in his written rules. If you want to "improve" his rule set you can do so at a real life table at home but not on BGA.

Your opponents were playing as intended, you quit. No wonder they were not happy.
