End of the game and action A

Post by Juli4 »

I just won a game on BGA by finishing with action A, while the other player already arrived. I received buttons for that. But at home I always interpreted the rules about "end of the game" that you don't receive points for action A. I would have been a draw without that.

Did someone understand this paragraph of the rules and could explain it?

The official rule book refers to the situation A here out of your basic A or B actions to begin with:
A) advance and receive buttons
B) take and place patch

So in your final move, you might not be able to take and place a patch
and in advancing, your time token stops at the final point, providing you with a certain
number of buttons until this very spot.

I've played with action A being absolutely valid as a last move, and would grant you buttons for as many spaces you moved. However, since there are no spaces beyond your opponent (which in this case has already finished the game), you only get buttons for the spaces you moved until the final space; not one beyond the final space.
