The same way you bookmark anything in a browser. Go to a page you want a direct link to, and set a browser bookmark for it. I, for example, have a bookmark directly to the tournament search page.

--Yes, they do, because that is the way the food-chain works. That's not the same as being amused by an animal exploding. And yes, I know I am super sensitive, but I just find it distasteful.

You've acknowledged already that you are particularly sensitive to this topic, and I note that you're not calling for the game to be removed or censored in some way, which is positive. Even still, I'd encourage you to try and put it into context - much of our digital entertainment could be considered disturbing - first person shooters, games based on criminality such as gta, and the vast body of games based around warfare. You can certainly debate which ones are more or less disturbing, but what unites them all is that they aren't real.

Of course, if the theme would prevent you from enjoying the game (as would be the case for myself in some instances too) then by all means don't play it.

I'll admit, while I accept the POV of finding the game distasteful as completely valid (to be honest, it's never much interested me either, and the subject matter does impact that), I'm curious what the point of this thread was. As the previous poster says, if the theme bothers you, don't play the game. As others have said, if seeing it on the homepage bothers you, bookmark a different page to come to BGA (frankly I almost never visit the homepage anyway). The image used to promote the release isn't especially graphic, so apart from not promoting the release (which BGA probably can't do, as it's usually some kind of agreement with the publisher to do so), I'm not sure what else can be expected here.

As I say, they're fine to feel that way, and avoid the game, but what was posting about it intended to achieve?

If you're sensitive then check out the settings for Ark Nova which have an option to "remove snake images"!
