Which Specimens Have Been Collected

Is there a way on the map to easily see which specimens have already been collected and delivered to the museum? It seems to be a manual task of looking up and down the screen, playing “spot the difference”. I couldn’t see a setting for it. Perhaps change the background wooden disc on the map from brown to grey to denote it’s been delivered already.

If its been delivered, it wont have the +1$ on it, it will have the book in the lower corner

I realise that is the case in the museum, but I meant an indicator on the map. I’m continually glancing from map to museum and back again to see which specimens have already been delivered. A simple marker on the map would help. The empty slots in the museum have fuzzy images, so that’s even less helpful.

Apologies, I misunderstood. And I agree, a simple check or grey-out would be helpful.

For what it's worth in case someone wants to set it up. We found we had the same issue when playing in real life, so in the end we opted to place a specimen marker on each of the specimens on the board. And when the first player chooses it, they take the marker from there.
If you then ever consider taking a specimen that doesn't have a marker on it on the board, then you know that at least 1 other player has it.
