Rail to the North Current Arena Season

There is a bug on building 12b, be warned the counting of the builders seems to fail. So don't build it (unless stepping stone building maybe to a higher one). The bug report can be found https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=132409.


For now everyone that reads this inform your fellow GWT players please when you play, so you don't have to abandon the game or work around it.

If people don't know it, it impacts the arena season if people are not aware, if known its playable though better solutions may exist, see below. The bug is not looked at by the developers since august, so we best work around it:

1) tell it to all GTW players you are currently in a game with, even if the tile is not present.
2) Maybe a note from BGA side is possible
3) I created an new arena format in the guru table which instead of all player buildings random is changed to select all, and then selected "random" for 1-11 and A for 12. So for next season (if other gurus don't want to change the format all together, its just the same setting with just 12 being always 12a)
4) Hopefully from BGA side it could be possible to just start all new arena games this season with the suggested settings instead?


I guess while the bug resolution requires a developer. Communication and maybe arena settings change could be done on BGA side quicker and easier.

Talked to the dev through BGG, and he won't be back anytime soon on BGA to fix the issue. So we either need a new dev to take over, or completely avoid that 12b building in the future. Especially for Arena mode it would be good to have rulesets that avoid the bug.

for next season i have already suggested a ruleset in the guru which is similar to the current expect always using 12A

For sure, but that's up to the GWT gurus. Playing with a ruleset that doesn't have errors though should not be dependent just on a vote.
